5 Minute Face- Makeup lesson

Y’all I have dark circles around my eyes on a daily basis. I find some days I don’t care, but most of the time I need a little help with my “makeup” if you know what I mean. I got my make up trial done for my wedding, and I LOVED it, and the response on Instagram was pretty good, and most of the mommies wanted a quick makeup lesson. So I called Lindsey from Kiss The Bride Makeup, and she put together a virtual lesson for all the mommies and non mommies out there. We had so much fun, and ladies it’s pretty easy….and she even gives you product names, so go buy your makeup and try out this 5 minute face! See her words below…picstitch-28

(This picture is the REAL deal. I woke up with Anniston at 5am, and had no make-up on and red eyes from NO sleep…I needed some help!)

As a new mommy, you may not be getting your share of beauty sleep….but it doesn’t have to show.

Here are a few tips and tricks to fake a good night sleep (at least on the outside)
5 minutes is all you need…so put the baby down and give mommy some much needed TLC!

Step 1- Fake an even complexion
Moisture, treatment, sun protection and coverage ALL IN ONE! Enter the CC Cream. The best part, you can apply it with your fingers. My current obsession is Full Coverage CC Cream from IT COSMETICS, amazing coverage, radical skin benefits, and an SPF 50!!

Step 2-Conceal
Got circles? Darkness around the eyes is a dead giveaway that mommy is in need of some zzzz’s. Choose a concealer that has enough pigment to combat the most challenging circles yet doesn’t settle or crease in fine lines (that some women have, not us) Try applying some to the corners of the nostrils where there tends to be redness or anywhere else you need extra coverage. Dab it on straight from the container and pat (don’t rub) with your finger. Right now, I am loving NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand (Can get at Target)

Let’s add a little life back to our face, shall we? The best way to do that….you guessed it BLUSH! Blushes come in many formulas, but since we are using our built in tools already (fingers) I’m recommending a cream blush for this quick look. Smile at yourself in the mirror….awwwww you’re so pretty : ) and tap the color onto the fleshy round parts of your cheek, that’s called the apple. Continue to tap on color until you get the desired hue. Stila’s Convertible Color blushes are a staple in most makeup artist’s kits, including mine! To add a little dimension to your skin, apply a matte bronzer like “Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer” with a big fluffy brush. Start a the forehead and draw a three on the side of your face. Make sure to hit the top of your forehead and make your way down to your cheekbone and then down to your jaw line. Extra tip: Apply bronzer to your eyelid in the crease for instant eye shadow.

Step 4-The eyes have it Curl your lashes and apply mascara. Easy, simple, effective! My tried and true mascara, my favorite of all time L’Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black (Can get it at Target)…. I can’t quit you!

Add some love to your lips. I recommend using a stain so you can apply it, and not worry about it! When choosing a color, look for one a shade or two darker than your natural lip color. Rose, neutral pink and berry tones tend to look flattering on most women, and aren’t going to require a lot of maintenance. Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Colorburst Balm Stains are worth trying!
